This project is a collection of work I've created both in and out of school. Many of these pieces are class assignments meant to simulate editorial jobs, the rest is work I created over the summer to try to better understand who I am as an illustrator, and the type of work I enjoy making.
I make all of my digital pieces in Photoshop, I really struggled with it at first because I only worked with tradition materials (primarily oil paint) since I first took an interest in art. When it comes to the process of making the work, layers save my life. After I sketch the piece out and draw the line work, I paint all of my flat colors on individual layers and then adjust each color until they all work together in a harmonious color palette, I then paint on top of that to finish the piece.
